Channoch Inc ("Channoch," "we," "us," "our") is an Ontario corporation that operates a group of professional service platforms, including Channoch Legal, Channoch Services, and Channoch AI. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our corporate website at channoch.ca and any platform that links to this Policy.

Each platform may publish a supplemental privacy notice that addresses data practices specific to that platform. Where a supplemental notice exists, it governs; this Policy governs everything else.

Automatically Collected

IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited — used for security, bot detection (via Cloudflare Turnstile), and aggregate analytics only. This data is never linked to your identity in our systems.

We do NOT collect government ID, Social Insurance Numbers, financial information, or health records through channoch.ca.

3. Consent

We rely on your express consent given at the time you submit the contact form. By submitting, you consent to:

  • Collection and secure storage of the information listed above
  • Use of that information to respond to your enquiry
  • Forwarding your enquiry to the relevant Channoch division

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@channoch.ca.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information

Internal

Your enquiry may be shared with the relevant Channoch division team member responsible for responding to it. All Channoch personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers for cloud infrastructure, email delivery, and bot detection. All providers are contractually bound to PIPEDA-equivalent privacy standards. Data is stored and processed in Canada or jurisdictions with equivalent protections where possible.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or lawful government request. We will notify you of such requests to the extent permitted by law.

What We Will Never Do

  • Sell your personal information to any third party
  • Share your information with advertisers or marketing networks
  • Use your enquiry details for purposes unrelated to your enquiry

After the applicable period, personal information is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised. You may request earlier deletion — see Section 8.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including:

  • Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted via TLS/HTTPS
  • Bot detection: Cloudflare Turnstile is used on public forms to prevent automated abuse
  • Access controls: Enquiry data is accessible only to authorised Channoch personnel
  • No advertising access: Your data never reaches any advertising network

In the event of a data breach creating a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) within 72 hours, in accordance with PIPEDA's Breach of Security Safeguards Regulations (SOR/2018-64).

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Access

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.

Correction

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

Withdrawal of Consent

Withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Deletion

Request deletion of your personal information, subject to retention obligations.

Complaint

File a complaint with the OPC at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376 if you believe we have violated PIPEDA.

9. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary session cookies for website operation and Cloudflare security services. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that share your data with advertisers.

10. Children's Privacy

Our platforms are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has submitted information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date at channoch.ca/privacy. Continued use of our platforms constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
